My local writers chapter, Colorado Romance Writers, is holding its annual published author contest, the Award of Excellence competition. My book Fatal Exposure was a finalist in this contest last year, along with a group of awesomely talented writers. This year they're low on entries (which means there's a greater chance to win!). So I'm making a call out to all you published authors who had a release in 2010. Here's your chance to final (or win!) in this prestigious contest.

Here's the full scoop:

Guest Author: Stacey Kennedy!

Please welcome the fabulous Stacey Kennedy, author of urban fantasy romance!

My novels are light-hearted fantasy, heart squeezing, thigh-clenching romance, and even give a good chuckle every now and again. My journey as a writer began as a way to keep my brain alive since being a stay at home mom can be a little let’s say―numbing. It was an escape from screaming kids, dirty diapers and plain old mom duty. It started as a hobby, but as the stories progressed it became a passion. Now, I indulge at nap time, especially the juicy bits! Every mom needs a good thrill!

Blurb of An Everlasting Bite:

Love is born between strangers, yet built upon a bond soul deep―one Alpha’s vow to protect his mate from looming danger, all the while, mending her soul and stirring her wolfish desires.

A vicious werewolf attack in Plymouth, Minnesota leaves a young woman violated, bitten and now, transformed into werewolf. But Rynn Murphy doesn’t have to face this transformation alone—she has her mate by her side. And the charming Briggs―Beta to the Patriarch, Valor―is eager to ease her into this new life and mend her battered soul.

With only weeks to adjust to her new fur, Rynn, follows Briggs while he assists in locating the daughter of the Montana’s Alpha, who was abducted from her home. But this journey is not without danger. And soon, they discover the ones who have taken this young wolf do not want her found and will stop at nothing to keep her hidden. Or so it may seem, as bodies begin to drop around them, the murderous attempts start to appear more as a hit than a smoke screen—leaving only one question, who is the intended target…

Writer With Sizzle: Cherish D'Angelo

A Steamy Interview with romantic suspense author Cherish D'Angelo

Cherish: Thank you for allowing me to guest on your blog during my Cherish the Romance Virtual Book Tour, which launches my contemporary romantic suspense, Lancelot's Lady. I'm always happy to answer interview questions.

Lia: It's great to have you, Cherish! First question - Have you ever cried or laughed out loud while writing a scene?

Cherish: I've done both. With Lancelot's Lady, I recall laughing out loud when I wrote a particular scene where Jonathan sneaks up on Rhianna while she's swimming in a moonlit pool in the woods. I also chuckled when he points out something in the water that really freaks her out and results in a very comical situation.

I cried at the end of Lancelot's Lady, while writing the epilogue. It's just so emotional and touching and bittersweet.

Lia: What’s your secret to writing a steamy scene?

Cherish: Three things: a very vivid imagination, the ability to research nearly anything and lots of ice water.

Lia: LOL! Ice water is an essential. Where is the wildest place your characters have had sexual relations?

Cherish: On the rock slab behind the waterfall.

Lia: Ooh, I have a fascination with waterfalls! I must read. Which scene in your book do you think will leave the reading squirming in their seat?

Cherish: Definitely the scene in Jonathan's cabin where he treats Rhianna to some sensual pleasure by painting her. And I don't mean her portrait. What that man can do with a brush! Sigh…

Lia: You have me intrigued, to say the least. Reading on...

Teaser excerpt:

Rhianna could feel his breath on the place where her legs met. It sent tingles through her body, and all her thoughts of confrontation flew out the window. How could she possibly think with Jonathan kneeling before her, asking her to trust him?

“Lie down on the sofa,” he told her.

When she was positioned on her back, he studied her. Then he raised one of her legs.

“Like that,” he said.

She watched him move to the table by the easel and squeeze various paint tubes onto a wooden palette. With three brushes in his hand and the palette, he approached her.

“What are you doing?” she asked, confused.

He smiled. “I’m painting you.”

“Shouldn’t you be working on canvas?”

“You’re my canvas.”

Rhianna’s heart fluttered. “You can’t put paint on me. I’ll never get it off.”

“These are watercolors. Very safe on the skin and they’ll come off in the shower.”

Her eyes widened. “But―”

“You said you trust me, Rhianna.”

“I do.”

“Then close your eyes and be my canvas.”

She did as he asked, holding her breath, waiting for the first touch of paint.

“This is a wandering vine,” he said as the cool tip of a brush moved down the side of her neck in flowing swirls toward her right breast.

Rhianna quivered when another brush stroke slid under her breast, then upward very slowly, ending just below her nipple. She gasped at the erotic sensations it caused. The soft strokes reminded her of his tongue caressing her skin.

“This is a hibiscus, just opening to the sun,” Jonathan said, his voice hoarse.

The brush swirled over her breast and a moan escaped. When cool paint circled the tender nub, she clamped her legs together in response.

“Be still,” he whispered.

He added curves and curls in agonizingly fluid motions, until she was nearly going out of her mind. What she wanted―what she needed―had nothing to do with paint and brushes.

A warm hand slide up her thigh.

“Relax,” he murmured. “Trust me.”

Another swipe of paint left an icy trail from her breast down to her belly button. She thought he’d stop there, but he didn’t. The tip of the brush swirled lower, then veered off to one side before curling inward along the inside of her thigh. He did this on the other side, then slowly parted her legs.

She heard a hiss of breath. Not hers. Jonathan’s.

“I trust you,” she said. “Completely.”

Lia: I have chills! SEXY excerpt. For those of you who'd like to know more (I know I do), here's more infomation about Cherish's novel and book tour:

Lancelot's Lady ~ A Bahamas holiday from dying billionaire JT Lance, a man with a dark secret, leads palliative nurse Rhianna McLeod to Jonathan, a man with his own troubled past, and Rhianna finds herself drawn to the handsome recluse, while unbeknownst to her, someone with a horrific plan is hunting her down.

Lancelot's Lady is available in ebook edition at KoboBooks, Amazon's Kindle Store, Smashwords and other ebook retailers. Help me celebrate by picking up a copy today and "Cherish the romance..."

You can learn more about Lancelot's Lady and Cherish D'Angelo (aka Cheryl Kaye Tardif) at and Follow Cherish from September 27 to October 10 on her Cherish the Romance Virtual Book Tour and win prizes.

Lia: Cherish's question for the readers:

Cherish: Where do you read most―on the couch, in bed, in the bath, on a bus, at work?

Were Blood Coming October 15th!

Were Blood, Book 3 in the Were Legends series, has a release date. It will be available for download from Ellora's Cave on October, 15th, 2010.

Hope you enjoy Blanca and Worth's story!

Blanca Reble has been captured, yet again, to be used as some Vamp’s blood slave. Now she’s determined to escape the hold her captor has on her. But Worth isn’t who he seems and the way her body and mind reacts to his touch isn’t what she’s used to. It should be only a matter of time before their blood bond wears off, but what replaces it is an undeniable connection that Blanca’s never experienced before.

Worth Sinclaire has never wanted a blood slave; he never had use for one. But when he sees the Were femme shackled and hurt in his cousin’s cellar, he purchases her for his own to protect her from a worse fate. Now he has to decide what’s more important—his loyalty to his own kind, or his growing love for a woman his people will never accept.

Were Blood Cover Art!

Huge thanks to the cover artist, Dar Albert, for capturing the story elements and designing this gorgeous cover for Were Blood:

The glow of the sun in the background is a huge element in the story. The castle is just a small part but it makes the cover. As well as the heroine. Beautiful.

Were Blood
Book 3 in the Were Legends series (and probably my favorite!)
Coming soon!

Now back to the edits!

Tuesday, June 29, 2010

Great news for the Were Legends series:

Were Blood is officially Coming Soon. I signed the contract with Ellora's Cave and edits will begin next month, I believe. Were Blood is Blanca's story and will be able to be read as a stand alone book. Vampires will be introduced into the mix. In fact, the hero, Worth Sinclere, is a sexy-as-sin bloodsucker. Anyone who's read the first two books will know that this will create a ton of conflict, especially with Blanca. I'm looking forward to seeing what the readers think about this one. Really exciting!

In other news, Were Seduction received a 4 star review from Night Owl Reviews. Janalee, the reviewer, had this to say:

"Ms. Slater imbibes a touch of magic and a whole lot of heat to create a wonderful book about two sexual characters that burn brightly together.

Kaige and Ambria are two characters that are real and likeable. Both have strengths and weakness that are true to life. The sex is powerful and explicit, just the way I love it!

Were Seduction is an excellent stand alone book, but this reviewer will be reading the first book in the series, WereSlave. I have to see how it all started.

Conjure a copy of Were Seduction by Lia Slater at Ellora’s Caves today. This is a paranormal pleaser."

Thank you, Janalee!

Were Seduction Release Day!

Were Seduction
Book two in the Were Legends series

is now available from Ellora's Cave!!

After living over a century without the touch of a man, Ambria Nogle is surprised that seducing Count Kollens isn’t all that difficult. Unfortunately, falling in love with the Were is just as easy. As an empath, she can see right through Kaige’s brooding fa├žade and into his heart. Now if only she can convince him that her heart is just as genuine.

Kaige isn’t sure what to think of the wicked little witch who’s stolen his nights and captured his thoughts. Their sizzling chemistry dulls his usually sharp senses when they’re together, making him uncertain of her intentions. But soon he finds trusting Ambria isn’t the problem. Falling in love with her is.

Excerpt #1:

“Fight or surrender? Are those my only two choices?” Her naughty smile devastated him, forcing him to draw in a deep breath.

“What else do you suggest?” He reached out to push a lock of hair behind her shoulder, then allowed his thumb to linger, running it along the soft column of her neck.

Her pink tongue darted out to lick her bottom lip and her gaze raked over him, studying him, as if planning out her next words. He would’ve thought she was calculating his demise if it weren’t for the shy way she tilted her head, not quite meeting his eyes. No, her words were brash and daring but her timid voice told a different story. A story he wanted to hear from start to finish.

“Well?” His cock swelled as anticipation overcame him. Funny how the mere minutes he’d been in her company had been more exhilarating than all he’d experienced the past two years accumulated since his pack gave up drifting and settled into this uneventful, human-infested country.

It appeared that this human had promise. Ample, curvy bundles of promise.

“I’m not much of a fighter, Kaige, and I don’t concede very easily.” She peeled his hand from her neck and held it against her waist, just below her bosom. Her body quivered just enough for him to notice. If he moved his thumb a twitch, he could brush it against the swell of her tantalizing flesh. “Why don’t we work this out peacefully?”

Hell, forget the dancing. “How about a quiet walk in the garden then?” he asked. “I promise I won’t change with the moon.”

Her cheeks pinkened and he wondered if he’d overstepped his boundaries. Who knew what sort of propriety crap these humans were used to. Were females were so much freer with their bodies.

“I have a better idea.” Her voice was a whisper as she leaned into him and gazed up with those sinful chocolate brown eyes. Her supple breasts crushed against his chest and he risked glancing down at her succulent cleavage. There really was something wonderful about a woman in a ball gown. It left just enough to the imagination. Now if he could just get the damn thing off her.

He cleared his throat and forced himself to meet her eyes. “I can’t say I’ve ever been more intrigued in my life. What’s your idea?”

“I’ve never been to Eastern Paqualette and this ball is giving me a headache. Why don’t you take me to your home? I’d love to see it.”

The wolf in him panted for what was to come. “What else would you like to see?” he asked, just in case she was being a tease. One had to be careful with witches.

She looked down for a moment, as if to gather her courage, then she met his gaze again. “Your clothes on your bedchambers floor. The size of your mattress. The ceiling above your bed. Shall I go on or will you allow me some modesty?”

His heart stopped beating, probably because all his blood had funneled to his cock. “Sweetheart, I’ll allow you the sun and the moon if you keep up the boldness. It’s sexy as hell.”

Excerpt #2:

“I’m thinking how much I want you to kiss me.” Her voice was rough, winded, but she got the necessary words out. Oddly, it was easy to flirt with Kaige, easy to be herself.

He licked the area just under her ear, a warm and luscious sensation. Her skin heated like a fireball had been lit inside her, crawling from the moist path and settling low in her belly.

“I’m going to kiss you.” His hand worked quickly to bunch up her dress past her stockings to her bare thigh. Then up to her waist. “And touch you. And taste you.” His voice was smooth and caressing.

A slight breeze blew into the carriage and swept teasingly against her bare skin, reminding her that the dress was all she wore.

“Is that a fact?” she whispered, trying her best to be the bold seductress.

Who was she kidding? She was going to explode before the lovemaking even began. Years of being untouched had obviously made her more responsive. The lightest brush of his knuckles against her bare leg had her insides coiled tight, ready to spring.

He reached between her thighs and grazed a finger across her moist folds and she tensed, unsure of how much more she could take.

A low groan rumbled in his chest and against her ear. “I’m going to lick your juices and fuck you with my tongue.”

“Dear gods.” No one had ever used such daring words with her before and oddly, they had her panting for more. She clasped her hands onto his shirt, holding on for dear life. Her pussy ached with anticipation. Impatient, she moved against his finger, wanting friction. Wanting him to put those words into action.

She met his heated gaze. His lips were so close to hers, they brushed with each bump of the carriage. His breath was warm and smelled of the champagne that was served at the ball. She wondered for a moment if he was drunk, then found that she didn’t really care. Not when his finger lightly skimmed the lips of her pussy. The faint teasing motion was torturous but so good.

Two could play at that game, she decided, and flicked her tongue into his gorgeously wicked mouth.

“Oh, now you’ve done it.” He smiled devilishly and lifted her onto his lap as if she weighed nothing, forcing her to straddle him. Gripping her hips, he held her down.

Her bare flesh molded to the thick erection underneath his slacks. With each jounce of the rickety carriage, she moved against him, building up a wonderful sensation deep in her womb.

Have mercy. She hoped his estate wasn’t anywhere close. She held tight to his broad shoulders and bit back a moan. What would he think of her if she were to orgasm before they made it to the privacy of his home? In the open carriage for all to see.

“Don’t fight it, Ambria. You can be as loud as you want. It’s just the two of us.”

“And your driver.”

“My driver is an old friend. Part of my pack. He won’t mind. Trust me.”

Updates Part Two

When it rains, it pours...but in a good way, right?

Were Seduction, book 2 in the Were Legends series, has a release date: Friday, June 4, 2010. Yay! Hope you all love Kaige and Ambria's story as much as I loved writing it.

WereSlave, book 1, received a 5 Angel review from Fallen Angel Reviews. Sonya, the reviewer, said, "Wereslave is a fabulous heart wrenching paranormal read that sizzles."

And it's a beautiful CO day.

Sigh. Can this day get any better? Mmm...I better not push my luck.

Sorry I haven't posted in so long. I've been busy finishing up the third book in the Were Legends series, Were Blood (working title). I'm turning it into my editor this week. It's almost too hard to say goodbye. I loved writing Blanca and Worth's story. Well, I always love writing my characters' stories. This one was no different.

Were Seduction (the second book - and Kaige's story) is waiting for a release date. More news to come!

And WereSlave (the first book) received an excellent review from Two Lips Reviews. Tina, the reviewer, gave it a 5/5 and she had this to say:

"Were Slave by Lia Slater is a sensuous journey that you will fall in love with... I really enjoy werewolf stories and Were Slave didn’t disappoint me. I intend to put Were Slave on my keeper shelf and hope to read more in the future by Ms. Slater."

Reviews for WereSlave & Off Limits

Off Limits - Night Owl Romance Reviewer Top Pick

"Fantasy and forbidden all wrapped up in one quick read... Their coming together as lovers, as they should have years ago, was a touching and romantic read." Chris, reviewer

WereSlave - 4 Stars from Just Erotic Romance Reviews

"I can clearly imagine the chemistry and passion that makes up this couple... I found the group sex scene to be quite hot, and it has one of the better double penetrations scenes I have read so far. Mace is quite the strong and passionate lover, so I wouldn’t mind seeing a follow up to this story in terms of finding a mate for Kaige. [Coming soon, I promise!] ...Readers that enjoy strong and possessive male leads will definitely enjoy WereSlave." L. Yau, reviewer

OFF LIMITS Available Today!

I'm excited to announce that OFF LIMITS, a "Cougar Club" Scarlet Rosette, is out today!

Buy now

How does a woman who usually follows the straight and narrow end up handcuffed to a chair by her ex-husband’s younger brother, a wickedly delicious man who just happens to be a cop? And the star of her most forbidden fantasies. Kara Reynolds has spent the past thirty-eight years being a good girl, but there’s something about Austin that makes her want to be really bad. Now, she’s caught in a situation that could either humiliate her...or set her free.

The air conditioner was off. That had to be the reason why her body temperature was spiking and beads of perspiration were moistening her forehead.

She’d never felt this alive and aware before. His hands sat heavily on her knees, forcing her legs apart. His face was set in a determined expression, eyebrows drawn, lips pressed together.

The glint in his sultry green eyes was now a warning rather than a tease.

Her pulse thrummed at her fingertips as she clasped her bound hands. Every other part of her body was frozen. And waiting for his next move.

His lips curved up into a half smile. “You broke my heart ten years ago. Do you remember that?”

Kara swallowed down the knot forming in her throat. “I remember you had a crush on me. You were young and—”

“I’m not that boy anymore.” His hands inched up to mid-thigh.

Her body quivered in response. More heat surged down her center and moistened her panties. If he only knew what he did to her.

What he’d always done to her.

It had been a sin to think of him this way when she’d been married. Was it sinful now? To want Clint’s younger brother so badly that her knees wobbled, her heart ached, and her cheeks flushed?

He had become her best friend over the past few years. Always, always, her ultimate fantasy.

5 Diamond review from Got Erotic Romance:

"If you enjoy second chance at love stories, you will enjoy this one. It is short, packed with emotion, and you can’t help finding yourself pulling for the younger man intent on convincing the woman he loves to give him a chance. If you’re a woman beyond the “perfect body” stage in life, you’re going to identify with the heroine and understand her doubts. This is a quick read and a feel-good story where hope for that magical happily-ever-after shines bright." Starla Kaye, reviewer

4.5 Stars from Book Wenches

"This is utterly and undeniably an entertaining read. One of the things I find that makes a short story enjoyable is an author that is able to give plenty of background to make the story come full circle, and Ms. Slater does this with finesse. I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything. I thoroughly enjoyed the thought of the younger guy; especially one as hot as Austin. The characters seem realistic, and I liked how they show so much emotion." Teagan, reviewer

Writer with Sizzle: Gwen Campbell

Congrats to the winner of Final Justice - Jennifer!!

Please welcome erotic romance writer Gwen Campbell! Gwen is giving away an eBook copy of her sizzling story, Final Justice. Please leave a comment and an email address in order to be entered into the drawing. Winner will be announced on Saturday, Jan. 30th. Good luck!

Lia: Welcome Gwen! I’d love to know more about your books. Have your characters used sex toys? And how did that go?

Gwen: In Final Justice, the naughty and creative Sergeant Peter Leighton uses his night stick in a manner the police force would disapprove of, and a butt plug in a manner that his lady-love highly approves of.

Sizzling (Over 18!!) Excerpt:

I’m going to love fucking you, Holly. Going to love sticking my big cock into you,” Peter murmured then picked up the last toy he’d set out for Holly’s pleasure—a short, fat butt plug. He opened a tube of lubricant and greased it liberally then stepped behind her.

His cock in his hand, he rubbed the tip of it over her wet pussy and Holly jumped then sighed with unguarded pleasure—and relief. “I want you too, baby,” he groaned. “I want you too.” Then he pressed the tapered end of the plug to Holly’s puckered anus. “Have you ever been taken in both places at once?”

Holly’s mouth fell open. “Um…no,” she answered truthfully, hesitantly, liking the feel of the cool, oily vinyl. Then she bit her lip. A while back, she’d had a boyfriend with a thing for her ass and he’d loved fucking her there. She’d liked it too but…

“It’ll feel good, Holly,” Peter promised earnestly and rubbed the tip of his cock against her pussy then pressed the plug against her anus again. Lightly. Carefully. “I want to take you here too, and I don’t want to hurt you when I come into you.” Pressing a little harder, his eyes flared as he watched the tapered end breach her. Then the first half-inch burrowed into her.

She knew he was holding back, waiting for a response. Waiting for her to decide if she trusted him enough to indulge in this wicked love play with a stranger. It came back to her how much she did trust this man, with an intuitiveness that felt like she was in the hands of a lover, not a stranger. She forced her body to relax. “Yes,” she whispered and glanced over her shoulder. She’d felt his eyes on her. Watching and liking how she looked—poised and willing to take his toy in her ass, his cock in her pussy.

His only response was a quiet, tremulous sigh and a slow, seductive press of the plug into her ass.

Peter slid it into Holly gently, carefully easing it in and out of her, claiming her in slow increments, reaching around her and stroking her clit lightly. She gasped when the widest part of the plug stretched her beautiful, rosy anus then gasped again when it slid over then tightened around the tapered neck, holding the vinyl knob inside her with only the flat, round handle still visible. When she sighed again and tipped her hips so he would rub her clit harder, he took hold of his cock and fit the head of it to her pussy. He groaned loudly when he breached her.

“Oh damn…” Peter breathed. “You’re so tight, Holly. So perfect.”

An answering thrill spilled through her body at her mystery cop’s words and she grinned wolfishly when she felt his big, rough hands clamp onto her hips and use the leverage to slide deeper into her. “And you’re big!” she gasped suddenly when he filled her too fast. The nightstick had only prepared her so much and, with that wicked thing lodged in her ass, she needed him to go slowly.

“Sorry…sorry,” he gasped, easing his grip on her hips and stopping for a moment, concentrating instead on stroking her clit in light, teasing circles. Peter couldn’t remember ever being this turned-on in his life. Holly—his beautiful, incredible Holly—taking him so willingly, her whole body alive and humming with pleasure, hers and his combined. Trusting him to pleasure her without knowing if she’d like what he was doing. The sight of her beautiful ass stretched around that decadent tool—her hot, tight pussy fisting the head of his cock.

The only thing she asked for was gentleness. He’d give it to her…and more.

Lia: Wow, hot stuff! Have you ever cried or laughed out loud while writing a scene?

Gwen: Absolutely. I laugh at myself all the time. In Seduced By Silver (due for release February 2010 by Ellora’s Cave), when the hero and heroine visit her parents for the first time following their, er, impulsive marriage, daddy dearest is ticked and not shy about sharing his feelings.

“Hey! Palila!” Marcus Quinlan’s voice boomed out in the bedroom beyond his wife’s dressing room. “Randy boy here and I are gonna take off and give those new sliders a workout.”

Behind him, Meadow heard Keefe’s disgruntled snort. She’d smelled his approach before she heard him and she was already sitting up a little taller in anticipation.

“We’re going to take Manus with us. We’ll be back before one—I promise, baby doll—and we can have lunch. Damn!” Marcus rushed into his wife’s dressing room and stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the wound on his daughter’s chest. He handed the bowl of ice chips he was carrying to his wife. “Did you have to be so damn brutal?” he growled at Keefe.

Keefe was now wearing a pair of jeans someone had loaned him, a t-shirt and boots and had a scratched helmet tucked under his arm. But then, all of Meadow’s father’s helmets were scratched. He liked his sports rough.

“Oh zip it, Marcus,” Palila blurted out and stood. She picked up a towel, poured ice into it and held it to her daughter’s chest. “The Mark you left me with was twice as bad and I needed stitches.” She placed Meadow’s hand over the towel, letting her hold it in place then turned on her husband. “And I couldn’t use my arm for a week. And stop with the name-calling. His name is Keefe. Your son-in-law and your daughter’s choice. Deal with it.”

“He fucked my daughter without my permission,” Marcus bellowed, glaring down at his wife and pointing at Keefe. “Mated with her without even the courtesy of doing it on her pack land.”

“And you,” Palila shouted back with a sure flip of her elegant, dark hair, “you didn’t even ask my permission first. Or is your memory failing along with your manners and whatever modicum of good sense you ever possessed? Hmm?”

Marcus blushed deep red, right up to the thinning roots of his graying, dark blond hair.

“You just grabbed me, stuck your dick in me and then asked me what my last name was.”

Lia: LOL! Funny scene. Where can readers find your books?

Gwen: My books are available through Ellora’s Cave at, in e-book format.

Lia: Thanks for being a Writer with Sizzle, Gwen!

A Release Date, a Nomination, a Nook, and a New Year

Happy 2010!! Wow, it's a brand new decade and I can't tell you how excited I am for this one to start. Last year was a catapult for me in many ways, especially my writing career, and I’m hoping I can keep up the momentum in the New Year.

Exciting News:

Off Limits, an erotic short, will be released from the Wilder Rose Press on 2/26/2010.

Fatal Exposure was nominated in the Preditors and Editors' Reader's poll. If you'd like to vote for it, please click here:

WereSlave, an erotic paranormal romance, is available now from Ellora’s Cave.

Were Seduction, the second book in the Legends of Paqualette (working title) series, is just about ready to shoot off to my editor. I hope she likes Kaige’s story! Because I completely and totally fell in love with him while I was writing it.

I’m starting the third in the series that is tentatively titled Were Blood. First chapter is done and I’m thrilled with the possibilities.

Oh, and I have a Nook (an e-reader). Just arrived last night as a late Christmas present. It’s absolutely gorgeous and I can’t wait to start using it.

Now I better get to work.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day! Stay warm.
