WereSlave has a release date! The erotic paranormal romance (erotic fairy tale, I like to call it) will be available in eBook form from Ellora's Cave on December 30th, only a couple weeks away. I'm very excited.
I'm thinking up a contest to have. More news on that later.
And I'm almost ready to submit Were Seduction to my editor. Another short novel with a lot of heat. :-) This is Kaige's story, since I fell in love with him in the first book.
Anyway, just wanted to share the good news.
Happy reading!

Writer with Sizzle: Lynne Roberts
Please welcome back Lynne Roberts! She’s celebrating the recent release of her sizzling book, After Hours, and is giving away a free eBook copy to one lucky winner. Feel free to ask questions and leave an email if you want to be contacted directly. Check back Wednesday eve!!Lia: What is your favorite thing about being a romance writer?
Lynne: There are many things I love about writing. Finding that perfect order of words that says just what you mean, hearing that someone else loved your book, but my favorite part of being a romance writer is falling in love with my characters and their love story. That first moment of discovery…. heaven.
Lia: Oh, that is the best part, isn’t it? I love that. What’s your secret to writing a steamy scene?
Lynne: Inez Kelly actually said something once that made it click for me. Slow everything down. So that’s what I do. I let the scene play out in slow motion in my head and then I focus on all the senses: touch, sight, smell, taste, sound. I’m still learning and at times I have to go back and focus on one sense or another or position my characters a little differently, but it all comes together.
Lia: That’s excellent advice. Speaking of steamy scenes, what’s your favorite sexual position to write about?
Lynne: It must be standing up. LOL. Against the wall, against a desk…I will have you all know that I have finally written a sex scene in a bed. Yay! That story doesn’t have a home yet, but I’ll keep you updated.
Lia: Nothing wrong with a little mattress action. :-) Has anything in your real life ever inspired a scene for your book?
Lynne: Yes. A single incident inspired After Hours. I was taking my teen daughter to school and waiting at a red light when across the road walks this man. He had wide shoulders, narrow hips, obviously muscular, but what caught my attention was the way he moved. I swear there was something supernatural about the way his hips moved. I watched him walk all the way… to the high school. Yes. He was a student! All I can say is they didn’t make boys like that when I was in high school. Here is an excerpt from After Hours:
Some men simply walk across a room, but not David.
Elle Simpson watched from her office as the new intern, his hips moving in a predatory roll, strolled to the copier and stood with his back toward her. No, not David.
She felt the color rise in her cheeks as her gaze traced his body, from the dark hair just curling at the nape of his neck, past wide shoulders, to the dangerous-looking narrow hips and an ass made for grabbing. Her body warmed and her inner thighs began to tingle.
Lia: Wait! Don’t stop! Now, that was a tease. Love “predatory roll”. Wow, what a visual. Where can readers find your books?
Lynne: My books are available at the Wilder Rose Press or Fictionwise. http://www.thewildrosepress.com/wilderroses/

Lia: Well, this interview didn’t last long enough for me. :-) Always a pleasure to have you, Lynne!!
Lynne: Thank you for having me, Lia!

New contract - Off Limits
Woot! I received a contract from The Wilder Rose Press for my short novella, Off Limits -- previously titled His Younger Brother, but my awesome editor, Diana, suggested a much better alternative. I think it's pretty sexy!! And very appropriate. :-)
Soooo... Off Limits - Coming soon! If you liked Fatal Exposure, then you might like this as well.
Blurb:
How does a woman who usually follows the straight and narrow end up handcuffed to a chair by her ex-husband’s younger brother, a wickedly delicious man who just happens to be a cop? And the star of Kara’s most forbidden fantasies. Kara Reynolds has spent the past thirty-eight years being a good girl, but there’s something about Austin that makes her want to be really bad. Now, she’s caught in a situation that could either humiliate her…or set her free.

The Cover for WereSlave
Here's the cover for WereSlave. What do you think? Not too shabby, right? I love the background, the castle and the heroine in the moon. And the hero is quite lovely (although I do have to point out that he doesn't have facial hair in the book, just so ya know :-))
Release date is to be determined but hopefully it's not too far off. I'm working on the second book in the series right now, Were Seduction, and I'm almost finished!
Here's a blurb for WereSlave:
As the Queen of Paqualette, Nayla is forbidden to have a husband or a human lover. Her life is a lonely and disciplined existence, so when she’s given the opportunity to choose a Were from her dungeon as her sex slave, she takes a chance. Werewolves are nothing but senseless monsters, she knows from firsthand experience. But after the one she selects to be her WereSlave turns out to be more of a man than she’d ever known, she must question her beliefs.
As the alpha leader, Mace is responsible for his pack. He’ll do anything to keep them alive, even give into the Queen’s sexual demands. But not unless he’s in control. Turning his enticing captor into the submissive is the only way to show her he’s more man than she realizes. Falling in love with Nayla is out of the question but will he be able to leave her behind when his pack is finally free?
